Cheyenne Street Railway Kicks Off 25th Season

Offers $2 Tours for Local Residents on Opening Weekend (May 5-6)

The Cheyenne Street Railway Trolley begins its 25th season of historic Trolley Tours on Saturday, May 5. The Trolley offers 90 minute narrated tours that include stops at some of Cheyenne's top attractions.  Riders can get off the Trolley, tour the attraction on their own, and then re-board the Trolley on its next tour (or any subsequent one as well).  The Trolley leaves every 90 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. On weekends, the Trolley offers 2-hour tours on Saturdays at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm and on Sundays at 1:30 pm. Tickets for the Trolley tours can be purchased at the Visitors Center in the lobby of the Depot (regular prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 2-12) or by calling 778-3133.

To kick-off the summer tourism season and to thank area residents for their support through the years, the Trolley is offering special rides for Laramie County residents for $2 during the first weekend (May 5-6).  The Saturday start times for the special $2 tours will be 10:00 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm.   Sunday tours will be at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm.

"Visit Cheyenne and our attractions appreciate the support of our local citizens," said Darren Rudloff, President of Visit Cheyenne.  "The $2 tours are our way of saying "thanks" for our residents' enthusiasm and assistance."
