Shortly after her great-grandmother passed away, Kendra and her family were at the home of the deceased. Kendra saw her great-grandmother's spirit standing outside the sliding glass door. She told Kendra that everything was o.k.; she was in a good place. While they were at the home Kendra's mother kept asking the group if they noticed the aroma in the air. It was the familiar smell of her grandmother, but nobody else could detect it.  The family had gathered here on this day to commemorate their grandmother's birthday. Kendra's mother wished the spirit a happy birthday, and the smell immediately went away.

One calm, summer evening some of Kendra's brothers and their teenage friends congregated at their house near Burns, WY. Suddenly it became quite eerie, beginning with a loud BANG!  The distinctive sound of the front door slamming was accompanied by the wind chimes on this otherwise still evening.  The teenagers began searching for the source of this noise, looking both inside and out, only to find they were the only breathing souls anywhere near the house. Reentering the house, they noticed that one of the six portraits above the fireplace was missing. This was a photograph of Kendra's brother Sam.  In the bedroom of one of her brothers they could see an unexplained shadow on the lower half of the bedroom door. Disturbed, they quickly left that room.  Walking down the hall, towards the back of the home the curtain in the hall was blowing straight up in the air, coming down upon their heads.  No windows were open in the house and there was no reason for the curtain to move at all. They began to back down to hall, ending their exploration in another bedroom. Here they found the missing portrait lain upon the bed.

At 3:00 in the morning they received a phone call that seemed to answer why these strange things happened. At the same time the disturbances happened at their home Kendra's brother Sam had been jumped by three hoodlums in town. They feel that Great-grandmother was trying to warn the family that Sam was in trouble and needed help.
