2021 Trolley Season Begins Saturday
(Cheyenne, WY) – Spring is in the air and that means it is time to hop aboard the Cheyenne Street Railway for their 33rd season of Wild West History Tours. Saturday May 1st is the official start of the season and marks the kickoff of the traditional tourism season in Cheyenne.
During the month of May tours will begin and end at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza along Capitol Avenue between 15th street and Lincolnway. In May, tours will leave on weekdays at 9:30 and 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Starting May 28th a 3:30 PM departure is added to the schedule. On Saturdays for the entire season tours leave at 9:30, 11:30 and 1:30. Sundays offer two tours leaving from the Depot at 11:30 and 1:30.
New this year, there will be two daily departures from the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Tuesday-Friday at 11:30 AM and 1:30PM and on Saturdays at 11:30 AM. Tours from the Botanic Gardens begin on May 28th.
The Cheyenne Street Railway is required to abide by the Biden administration’s rules for public transportation, so all passengers and drivers will be required to wear masks. Trolleys are sanitized after each tour providing an extra level of protection against CoVid-19 and other diseases.
Tickets to ride the trolley are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. They can be purchased at the Visit Cheyenne Visitor Center inside the Depot, at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, and new this year tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.cheyennetrolley.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 307-778-3133 during business hours.
The Cheyenne Street Railway offers daily Historic Wild West Trolley Tours from May 1st to September 30th each year along with Haunted Cheyenne Tours in October and Christmas Light tours in December. Trolleys are also available to charter for private event transportation including weddings, meetings and other events. Visit Cheyenne operates the trolleys and is the official Destination Marketing Organization for Cheyenne and Laramie County, Wyoming.
