(Cheyenne, WY) The 5th annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop will once again bring sparkle and celebration to Cheyenne residents and visitors at the Depot Plaza on December 31, 2015. This family-friendly, free event brings an estimated 4000-5000 people downtown to welcome in the new year.
The family event includes activities for children from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m., inside the Historic Depot at 121 W. 15th Street. Face painting, Lego building, games, inflatables and costumed characters in addition to horse and wagon rides and more will be offered. This early evening event concludes with a ball drop and brief fireworks display just for the kids which will also be televised on KGWN just prior to 6:00 p.m.
Beginning at 8:00p.m., the Depot is opened for adults. Live music, dancing, and a cash bar will be offered until midnight when the ball drops in the plaza and fireworks begin. The party continues inside until 2:00 a.m., and takes place at two locations, the Asher Building and the Depot. Shuttle rides will be available to concert-goers. Tickets are $20.00.
