Kickoff in the Park
Sponsored by Tyrrell Auto Centers
The community is invited to Romero Park, on the banks of Crow Creek, to celebrate the naming of the city by General Dodge. Dodge arrived in what is now Cheyenne with a charge from Union Pacific Railroad to develop a city as a stop on the railroad’s westward expansion.
There will also be activities for kids of all ages, a public presentation by Mayor Marian Orr information about Cheyenne’s founding, history and heritage, along with music and artistic presentations.
Beverages will be available for purchase; or you can bring your own! There will be an ice cream treat for the first 750 participants!
