Meet some of Cheyenne’s departed famous and infamous characters during the Cheyenne Genealogical & Historical society’s annual Lakeview Cemetery Walk, “Tiptoe Through the Tombstones.” The walk will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. and participants are encouraged to arrive about 9 a.m.
This living history presentation begins at the main gate of Lakeview Cemetery off Seymour Avenue and features a number of interesting characters who played large and small parts in Cheyenne’s Frontier history. They are portrayed in costume by members of the Cheyenne Genealogical & Historical Society.
The cost is $5 per individual, children under 10 are free. Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and sun protection, and bring drinking water if desired. The cemetery and the Cheyenne City golf course will provide a limited number of golf carts for those who may not be able to walk for the entire two-hour narrated tour.
