When Cowboys went into the field to tend to the cattle herds, they needed to bring their food with them. Enter the very first food trucks, the Chuck Wagon. Loaded down with everything needed to feed a small army of hungry wranglers, the chuck wagon was an essential part of cowboy life and lore.

For four summers 3 Lazy R Chuck Wagon has been sharing their award winning brisket, beans, potatoes and cobbler with visitors to the Hell on Wheels Rodeo and Chuck Wagon Dinner. Dinner begins at 5:30 on rodeo nights and is the perfect way to experience a taste of the true west in Cheyenne.
