The 2018 course was USATF certified. We are modifying the course for 2019 and will post the certification number as soon as possible.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Register at: https://visitcheyenne.redpodium.com/cheyenne-marathon-2019 There is no day of registration available for the race. You must sign up by NOON on Friday, September 13th.
HOW DO I GET MY PACKET?
You must pick up your race packet, which includes your number, on Saturday, September 14, at the Depot Plaza. The Depot Plaza is located at 121 W. 15th Street!
To streamline the process, there will be NO packet pick-up on race day.
You may have a friend pick up your packet for you if your waiver has been signed. NOTE: If you registered electronically, your waiver has been signed.
HOW MANY AID STATIONS ARE ON THE COURSE?
There will be 11 aid stations, one approximately every two miles along the course. There will be port-o-lets and basic first aid kits at each one. There will also be HAM or cell phone communications for emergencies at each aid.

In order to protect the safety of race participants, MP3 Players, iPods or other devices with headphones are highly discouraged. Participants who choose to wear such devices assume all risks associated.
CAN A PARTNER BIKE ALONGSIDE ME OR CAN I PUSH MY CHILD IN A BABY JOGGER WHILE I RUN OR WALK?
No. For your safety, as well as the safety of your children and/or your crew, absolutely no strollers, baby joggers, bikes, wagons or other similar mechanisms will be allowed on the course, other than bikes used by race officials. There will be traffic on the course, as well as areas of the course that are not suitable for non-official bikes, strollers or baby joggers.
CAN I BRING MY DOG ON THE COURSE?
We love our pets too, but no. For the safety of other participants and for your pets, we cannot allow pets on the course.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I ENCOUNTER WILDLIFE?
Please don’t approach wildlife. The most common animals you are likely to encounter are deer and antelope which are likely to run from you. Bike marshals will be patrolling the course, on the lookout for wildlife, but in the unlikely event that you encounter a rattle snake or a skunk, please give them a wide berth and notify someone at the next aid station. If you are bitten by a snake, move away from it, then stop moving, remove any constricting items near the affected area, keep the bite lower than the heart and seek assistance from another participant or race marshal to get immediate medical assistance from the closest medical aid station.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
The one thing that is consistent about the weather in Southeastern Wyoming is that it is unpredictable! Be prepared for sun, rain, wind or snow and perhaps all of the above! However, we chose this time of year because normally the temperatures are mild and the winds are light.
WILL THERE BE A COURSE SWEEP?
Yes, we will have people sweeping the course.
MAY SOMEONE UNDER AGE 14 PARTICIPATE?
Children 14 and under may participate in the half marathon or the 10k with the signature of their parent or guardian and only if they are accompanied on the course AT ALL TIMES by a parent or guardian. All participants 18 and under must have the signature of their parent or guardian. There are no prizes issued for anyone under 14.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
The event does not refund, transfer or roll forward an entry fee.
We have a strict NO REFUND and NO TRANSFER policy, no exceptions. If you are unable to attend, you may pick up your goody bag and race shirt or have someone pick those items up for you.
It is against race policy to give your bib to someone else. Running with someone else's bib number is a safety and liability issue for race staff and medical personnel, unfair to those who didn't get to sign up before registration closed, and alters race results, sometimes depriving a deserving award winner of their medal. Anyone running under an incorrect number will be disqualified from the race and may be banned from future Cheyenne Marathon events.

If you are already registered for a race you are allowed to switch to a shorter distance. The difference in race fees is not refundable. Cutoff for switching races is September 5, 2019

The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K will have a bag check/retrieval. We'll do the best job we can to see that your bag is safely returned to you at the finish line. However, we strongly suggest that you bring nothing breakable or valuable with you to the start. We are not responsible for anything that you check. Small bags would be appreciated.
