The Rodeo

Entering it's fourth season, the Hell on Wheels Rodeo and Chuck Wagon Dinner Series Features an open rodeo format. That means anyone can pay the entry fee and compete in nine different rodeo events. The 2023 season featured a total payout to cowboys and cowgirls of more than $69,500.

The rodeo features rough stock and timed events including Bareback and Saddle Bronc Riding, Breakaway, Tie Down and Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Novice and Standard Bull Riding. The rodeo begins at 7 pm sharp with the Grand Entry and National Anthem. If you've never attended the Hell on Wheels Rodeo, the performance will last about 90 minutes. Following the performance slack will be run featuring roping and barrel racing contestants who were not chosen for the performance. All events are approved by the Wyoming Rodeo Association and count in their standings. A WRA card is not required to participate in our rodeo.
