Fully-narrated Historic Tours on the enclosed Cheyenne Street Railway Trolley. Early May through September.
The tours may cover a lot of history during the time of the wild and unbridled west. Some content may include outlaws, gunfights, saloons and brothels. Please be advised that this tour may not be appropriate for families that do not want their children to hear such stories.
Weekdays: 90-minute tours leaving at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm, & 4 pm, with stops by the Depot Museum, Nelson Museum of the West, Wyoming State Museum, Botanic Gardens, Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, and the Historic Governors' Mansion.
Note: On national holidays during the week (Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day) the Trolley usually runs its Sunday schedule, noon and 2 pm, with one stop at the Old West Museum or another attraction.
Saturday 10 am, noon and 2 pm tour. Sunday noon and 2 pm tour (includes free stop at the Old West Museum).*
*At times of excessive traffic or special events at the Old West Museum, the Trolley may include a stop at another attraction, such as the Wyoming State Museum.
Tickets are available in the Historic Depot at West 15th Street and Capitol Avenue and cost $12 adults, $6 children (ages 2-12) or $19 Trolley Plus Adult Pass, which includes admittance to the Old West Museum, Nelson Museum, and Depot Museum.
Halloween Ghost Tours and Christmas Light Tours are seasonally available at Visit Cheyenne in the historic Depot at 121 W. 15th St. Tickets may be purchased with a credit card over the phone by calling 307-778-3133.
Ghost tour tickets are $15, ages 10 and up. Tours run twice on Friday nights and three times on Saturdays during the Halloween seaon, and leave from the Depot.
Holiday Light tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. Tours run at 6 and 8 p.m. during the holiday season and leave from the west end of Frontier Mall, 1400 E Dell Range.
