Originally named Fort D.A. Russell, then Fort Francis Warren, today it serves as a command center for U.S. Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) and as a training ground for the U.S. Air Force
From muskets to missiles, the base has had an important role in meeting our country’s national security objectives. Their office provides support for tours, speakers, wing mission and historic information, as well as logistical support when authorized.
They are eager to show off and tell of their fast-paced, exciting and challenging mission and its rich history to civic leaders and elected officials, to groups and organizations, to teachers and students, ROTC cadets, as well as the general public.
