Here you can view a fine collection of artifacts depicting the history of southeastern Laramie County in this 4 ½ acre complex. Learn about the Native occupation and early cowboys and homesteaders of this area in the main exhibition hall which also houses a gift shop, pre-historic artifacts, and displays reflecting the history of Pine Bluffs and surrounding areas. Other buildings include the oldest schoolhouse in Laramie County, a de-commissioned Catholic church, the Brodine-Walker Boarding House, a Union Pacific Caboose, the Bowser Homestead House, an Agriculture and Transportation Building with an interactive area for children, and a Military building which includes a reading room and showcases an extensive “Jim Beam” decanter collection. The Texas Trail Museum is open seasonally, from May 1st to Sept 30th. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. There is no entrance fee to the museum, but donations are greatly appreciated.
