Hacienda Guadalajara & Guadalajara | Tortilla Factory & Tortilla Factory Express
Cheyenne may have never been a part of the Mexican territory like Southwest Wyoming, but we certainly have our fair share of opportunities to eat Mexican food around town. Naturally, with Taco John’s international headquarters located here, there is no shortage of Potato Oles to be found. However, if you are looking for a smaller, family-owned establishment, we have several to choose from. So many, in fact, we'll be doing this in two installments!
Hacienda Guadalajara – 1745 Dell Range, Cheyenne
Guadalajara – 317 E. Lincolnway, Cheyenne
With one location near downtown and the other off the shopping district on Dell Range, you are just a short jaunt away from weekly margarita specials (currently 2-for-1 between 3-6 p.m., weekdays), fresh guacamole and chips, and an entrée loaded with south of the border goodness. The lengthy menu covers fajitas, burritos, soups, salads, desserts, and more. They nailed the ambiance, bringing elements of their native Mexico with them. The festive colors and artistic carvings certainly sets the tone for a fiesta!
I just had the Burrito Loco here at Hacienda Guadalajara, and I’ll be honest, it has to be one of the most flavorful burritos I have EVER had. Yes, in WYOMING! So good. - David M.
Tortilla Factory – 2706 S Greeley Hwy, Cheyenne
Tortilla Factory Express – 1507 Stillwater Ave., Suite G, Cheyenne
Another popular option that has two locations! After a long-awaited opening of the full-service restaurant on South Greeley Highway, the Cheyenne-staple has really grown from its humble beginnings as a small warehouse-based tortilleria. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner (as well as a full bar) in addition to their ongoing specials, the bright and sunny venue on the south side certainly has appeal. The Stillwater location is good for a bite for lunch or dinner while getting shopping done, but don’t have your heart set on a margarita – there is no bar at that location...for now.
“Man, you guys rocked it again!!! I have never had a meal there that I have not liked. Thanks again for having the best Mexican food in town. Your deep fried tacos are better than my wife’s but we won't tell her that right???” – Gregg G.
In this series, we’re highlighting some of the restaurants around the county that may be a bit off the beaten path, but are well-worth the stop. Check out the rest of the Off the Eatin' Path for more foodie delights!
